Saturday Game On Class - Improve your Game
Game On Class for Adults Whether you’re new to golf or a seasoned player looking to sharpen your skills, our Game On Class for Adults is designed to help you improve and gain confidence on the course. This is a 4-week class where each week focuses on one or two key shots essential to your game: putting, chipping, pitching, full swings, and bunker play. By the end of the program, you’ll have mastered the five most important shots in golf and be ready to take on the course with confidence. The cost for the entire four-week class is $180 for members and $200 for guests of members. Sign up today and take the next step toward elevating your game! Granite Bay Senior Association - Wednesday Play Day We have regular Wednesday morning T-times starting at 9:00am that are blocked for senior men's play (Age 55 and older). You can choose to play either 9 or 18 holes. (When playing 18 holes you have the option of participating in some friendly competition using your handicap index). Sign ups can be made by referencing Senior Association Wednesday when using the INVITED APP or by calling the Pro Shop (916) 791-5379. 2025 Jones Cup
2025 Jones Cup Invitational Men's Fall Invitational - Granite Bay Golf Club Date: Thursday, November 6th and Friday, November 7th Eligibility: All male members in good standing of Granite Bay Golf Club who have a current USGA handicap are eligible to participate in this event. Entry into the event for each category of player will be determined by receipt of COMPLETE entry form. The entire field will be set November 1st, 2025. The golf shop will confirm all entries by E-Mail or telephone. 90% of index, as of November 1st, or Tournament Index as established by the event Committee will be used, whichever is lower. Tournament will become available to limited golf members, if not already full, starting October 15th. Max of 120 players Partners may be a member of Granite Bay Golf Club or Guest. Format: A medley of formats is used, including Chapman Scotch and Scramble on Day 1 and then Better Ball and Cha-Cha Aggregate (one best ball on odd holes, both balls counting on even holes) Day 2. The event will be flighted by combined handicap with the top team in each flight advancing to the Championship Shootout. This year 2 "Wild Card" team will also advance into the Championship Shootout. This will be the team that has the lowest score over the field, excluding flight winners. Ties: All ties in flight competition will be broken by matching Aggregate Cha-Cha scores followed by Better Ball, Chapman Scotch and Scramble. All ties in the Championship Shootout will be broken by chip-off. Winner will be determined by ball closest to the pin (ball must be on the green). Handicap: 90% of current index as of November 1st will be used. Please be advised the maximum differential between partner's handicaps is 10 strokes. Teams are allowed to enter with a greater differential, but handicaps will be adjusted to meet this requirement. Tees: All play will be from the Granite Tees. Entry Fee: $900/team - This entry fee includes three days of golf, carts, tee prizes, awards, and unlimited food and non-alcoholic beverages during the event. Alcoholic beverages will be on a no-host basis. Players are welcome to invite a guest to accompany them to the Friday night awards reception immediately after completion of the championship shoot-out. Registration: Registration via email or physical drop off of entry form. Entry forms available in Pro Shop. Practice Round: Practice round is scheduled for Wednesday, November 1st. Please contact the pro shop for selected tee times. Team Buy-In: The mandatory team buy-in is $300 / team. Paid out to winning teams (cash ONLY, due at registration) Putting Contest: The individual match play putting event to be held Thursday evening will be $20/player/per attempt and is optional. Friday Attire: The traditional golf attire for the final round, Friday, is knickers and long socks. While it is not mandatory it is encouraged and always spices up the day Deadline: November 1st, 2025 - Early entry recommended as signups are dated and first signups fill flights. This hands-on session will focus on putting, chipping, pitching, and bunker shots—essential techniques that can dramatically lower your scores. Learn from the best with expert coaching from Meredith Lobeck, PGA/LPGA, and Kyle Butterfield, PGA, who will provide personalized instruction tailored to your game. As a special bonus, every participant will receive a custom-fit wedge from top brands like Callaway, Taylor Made, or Titleist to elevate your short game even further. The cost to participate is $299. Spaces are limited, so be sure to sign up and take the first step toward mastering your short game! This is open to the first 12 players to sign up.

MGA Wild Turkey Shoot
One of the busier days of the Fall, the day before Thanksgiving, we are going to continue the tradition started by a group of Members nicknamed the Wild Turkey Shoot. Now with the MGA behind it we expect it to be well attended and have set a max # of players to be able to support the event but also allow the entire membership access to the Club with potentially family in town for the holiday. This event will be morning tee times, 2 person best ball, skins, probably some Wild Turkey itself, all fun. Please do not wait as we are capping this event at 36 players. A guest will be permitted as part of your 2 person team, regular guest fees apply. Gosh knows we'll need to get our steps in before the big Thanksgiving meal. See you all there.
